Join award-winning travel writer and photographer David Hogan Jr. for a truly unique 9-day / 8-night photography and adventure tour through three of Japan’s most iconic destinations: Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara — during the breathtaking peak of autumn foliage.

Doesn’t matter if you are a mirrorless shooter or simply love snapping moments with your smartphone, this tour is designed for photographers of all levels who crave cultural depth, visual storytelling, and authentic discovery, without the pressure of technical workshops.

Expect meaningful moments, scenic exploration, and countless opportunities to frame Japan’s timeless beauty. With a relaxed pace, small-group intimacy (max. 8 people), and no gear snobbery, this is photography made joyful, casual, and unforgettable with a relaxed mood.

Even if you’re new to photography, whether you’re using a smartphone or a simple point-and-shoot camera, you’re more than welcome to join. My mission is to help you capture some of your best photos yet during this unforgettable journey through Japan.
